ACADEMIC CURRICULUM

1. PROGRAM OBJECTVE 

The objective of the academic programs at Jawaharlal Institute of Technology and Management (JITM) is to nurture competent, responsible, and industry-ready professionals through a structured and holistic learning framework. The programs are designed to align with national educational standards and evolving industry requirements.

2. PREPARATORY / BRIDGE COURSES 

Preparatory courses at JITM are thoughtfully designed to support students from diverse academic backgrounds. These courses aim to build foundational knowledge, align subject understanding, and ensure a smooth transition into the main academic curriculum.

2.1 Bridge Courses Offered at JITM

2.1.1 Course Structure & Delivery
• Duration: 1–2 weeks at the start of the academic session.
• Mode: Interactive lectures, workshops, and practice sessions.
• Evaluation: Participation and basic assessments (non-graded).
• Fee: Included in program tuition (no extra charges).

 

3.  ORIENTATION AND INDUCTION PROGRAM

The Orientation Program is conducted on the first day of the academic session for all first-year students. It provides a formal introduction to the college’s values, facilities, and academic structure.

3.1 Induction Program

The Induction Program runs over the next few days after orientation, focusing on student engagement, soft skills, team bonding, and exposure to student life.

   • Introduction to Clubs, Committees & Events
   • Ice-Breakers, Group Games & Talent Show
   • Rules Related to Attendance, Assignments, & Evaluation
   • Library Orientation, Digital Resources & ERP
   • Sessions on Mental Health, Anti-Ragging, and Discipline
   • Workshops on Communication Skills & Career Readiness.

4. ACADEMIC CALENDER 

The Academic Calendar outlines the schedule for commencement of classes, internal assessments, holidays, semester-end examinations, industrial visits, co-curricular activities, and other key academic events for each session.

5.  CURRICULUM DETAILS YEAR- WISE 

The academic curriculum at JITM is structured to ensure a progressive and practical learning experience, preparing students with both foundational and specialized knowledge over the course of their program.

6.  INTERNSHIP / PROJECT GUIDELINES 

Internships are a compulsory academic component for all students of BBA (every year) and MBA (after 2nd semester). They are designed to enhance students’ practical understanding, industry readiness, and professional confidence through real-world experience.

6.3 General Guidelines (BBA & MBA)
1. Internship is mandatory and part of internal assessment.
2. Duration should be minimum 15 days and maximum 1.5 month.
3. Students must:
      o Get internship pre-approved by the coordinator
      o Submit an Offer Letter, Daily Log, and Feedback
      o Prepare a final report in prescribed format
4. Viva/Presentation may be asked after internship completion.
5. Students must maintain discipline and professional conduct at all times.
6. Use of plagiarized content or false documentation will lead to cancellation of internship marks.
