International & Industry Exposure

1. INDUSTRY INTERACTION PROGRAM

The Industrial Exposure Program at JITM is designed to provide students with first-hand experience of corporate operations, industry functions, and workplace culture. It aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices, preparing students for future career opportunities.

1.1 Inclusions:

  1. Visits to Reputed Industries
    Students are taken to manufacturing units, service companies, startups, banks, and corporate offices to observe real-time processes and functions.
  2. Field Learning
    Practical exposure to operations, production, HR, Marketing, Finance, and Logistics departments enhances classroom learning.
  3. Interaction with Industry Experts
    Students get opportunities to interact with professionals and understand career expectations, challenges, and growth trends in the business world.
  4. Academic Integration
    Industrial visits are integrated with subjects like Business Operations, Marketing, HRM, Supply Chain, and Entrepreneurship.
  5. Report Submission & Assessment
    After each visit, students submit a brief observation report, which is considered for internal assessment.

1.2 Student Guidelines

 

  • Participation is compulsory and part of the internal marks.
  • Formal dress code and ID card must be worn during the visit.
  • Students must maintain discipline and follow instructions from faculty coordinators.
  • Photography and recording must be done only if permitted.
  • No personal questions or misbehavior with company staff will be tolerated.

2. STUDENT EXCHANGE / INTERNSHIP ABROAD (IF ANY)

At JITM, we believe in broadening the academic and cultural horizons of our students. The Student Exchange Program is designed to provide opportunities for students to pursue a part of their academic curriculum at our partner institutions across India and abroad.

2.1 Objectives

  • To expose students to diverse academic environments and teaching methodologies.
  • To foster global perspectives, cultural understanding, and leadership skills.
  • To enable academic collaboration and interdisciplinary learning.
  • To enhance the employability and confidence of students.

2.2 Partner Institutions

JITM is in the process of building collaborations with reputed universities and institutions through MoUs and academic partnerships. Students will be notified about available exchange programs, eligibility, and application timelines via official communication.

2.3 Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to meritorious students of BBA and MBA programs from the semester onwards.
  • Minimum attendance of 75% in previous semesters.
  • No pending backlogs at the time of application.
  • Good disciplinary record.

2.4 Program Highlights

  • Duration: From one week to two weeks.
  • Credits: Academic credits earned during the exchange are eligible for transfer as per university norms.
  • Accommodation & Travel: Students may be supported or guided in arranging accommodation and travel during the exchange.
  • Mentorship: Each student will be assigned a faculty mentor for academic guidance during the exchange period.

2.5 Rules & Guidelines for Students

  • Adherence to Host Institution Policies: Students must follow the academic and disciplinary rules of the host institution.
  • Code of Conduct: Professional behavior, cultural sensitivity, and decorum must be maintained at all times during the exchange.
  • Attendance & Participation: Full attendance and active participation in assigned coursework, lectures, and projects are mandatory.
  • Academic Integrity: Any form of academic dishonesty (plagiarism, cheating, etc.) will lead to cancellation of the exchange and further disciplinary action.
  • Reporting Requirements: Students must submit a report of their experience, learnings, and academic outcomes at the end of the program.
  • Communication with JITM: Students must stay in regular contact with their faculty mentor and the academic exchange coordinator at JITM.

Financial Responsibility: Students are responsible for expenses not covered by the host institution or the exchange agreement (unless specified otherwise).

3. CERTIFICATION / ADD-ON PROGRAMS

At JITM, we offer Industry-Oriented Certification Programs to enhance the technical, analytical, and professional skills of our students beyond the regular curriculum. These certifications are delivered through expert-led workshops, online modules, and practical training sessions.
